Greed Corp

Greed Corp is a turn-based tactical strategy game developed by W! Games (looks like it’s been bought out by Vanguard Games) where the objective is to outlast the other opponents by harvesting land, attacking and strategically destroying connected land.  The players start at strategically equal points on the map and take turns building harvesters and expanding control of the lands.  The land itself is made up of hexagonal tiles of varying height which represent how many times they can be harvested.  Every turn your harvesters will give resources but at…read more

EDGE – Game Review

I picked up EDGE with a few other cube related games in the Steam Cube Pack, along with Blocks That Matter.  This is a simple game idea, you control a block that can move in 4 directions along a 3D world path avoiding obstacles and triggering switches to get through the puzzle.  It’s a little like Marble Madness only you have better control of your positioning since you aren’t rolling all over the place.  It’s very easy to pick up and play for a few minutes or a few hours,…read more

Blocks That Matter – Game Review

I went through with my ever more powerful Soldier who is nigh invincible now.  Still there is a lot of great improvements…read more

Hard Reset – Game Review

Posted by in Games

I picked up Hard Reset during an Indie Royale deal because I heard it was a serviceable shooter with some good effects from a relatively indie team.  Turns out Hard Reset is a serviceable shooter with some good effects. It’s fairly short, less than 7 hours at my slow pace, HowLongToBeat.com is putting it at 5 hours, but it gives a decent game in that short span.  There are plenty of upgrades and the game finished right after I got the last upgrade that I felt was worth while.  If…read more
